22 km away from the center of Paris, created on the site of an old gravel pit and near the Marne, the Vaires-sur-Marne regatta course is part of 50 landscaped hectares and is part of a high sustainable development strategic plan.
2200 m long with eight marked buoys lines, four launching pontoons and finally a podium, the regatta course meets all the requirements of World and Olympic and Paralympic regattas.
The wind is described by the direction from which it blows and its speed. Both parameters change according to the period of the day.
The Compass Rose translates it graphically as follows:
Each branch refers to one direction (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW) and its length indicates the frequency of this direction (%)
The colors refer to the speed ranges (speed in km/h).
The wind is calm when its speed does not exceed 1,39 m/s.
